An Emerging Heritage
While relatively new compared to other golf clubs in the area, Blue Heron Hills has quickly achieved a reputation for its unique golf architecture and impeccable course maintenance. Opened in 1987, Blue Heron has become a regular venue for exhibitions, charity tournaments, and top amateur competitions.
The Course Layout
The course layout challenges the golfer to select the right club and balance risk and reward on every shot. Each hole is unique, with no parallel fairways. The course was designed primarily by Peter Craig and Dick Bator, with advice from developer Nelson Leenhouts and a team of landscape architects, environmentalists, and golf professionals, including Jack Nicklaus.
